Learn to Sail
Dinghy Sailing Courses - Adults
Our adult dinghy sailing courses follow the RYA National Sailing Scheme, offering structured training from beginner to intermediate levels. Courses include RYA Level 1 (Start Sailing) and Level 2 (Basic Skills), typically comprising evening theory sessions followed by practical on-water training. Training is conducted in double-handed Wanderer dinghies with an instructor onboard, as well as single-handed Topper dinghies during summer months. These sessions are open to non-members, with the aim of developing competent and confident sailors.
Dinghy Sailing Courses - Juniors
Our junior dinghy sailing courses are designed for young sailors, following the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme. Courses cover Stages 1 to 4, introducing juniors to the fundamentals of sailing, including boat handling, tacking, gybing, and sailing in various conditions. Training is conducted in appropriate dinghies for the size and skill level of the sailor, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
